Tom Colquhoun Surachai has a really macro and approach to making harsh electronic metal. In the temporary guise of black metal, this album is instead an exploration of textures, creaks and grinds and drum hits are flattened and compressed to make an album that's difficult to picture as a whole, being more a collection of microscopic moments. It's like a long canvas in a narrow hallway, you can't take it all in but as you progress you find yourself pressed up against each fresh wave of sound. Favorite track: Sentinel.

Deryn L. One of the most emotional black metal albums I've come across, as well as one of the most ambitious, with tracks going well beyond 8 minutes. It's refreshing to hear an album that isn't afraid of being well produced instead of going for a more lo-fi sound like most black metal albums. The mix of traditional instrumentation and sections of experimental electronic noise keeps the album (in a black metal sense) refreshingly varied, if you can look past the length. Favorite track: Ancestral.

Clark Great concept executed beautifully. Not quite like anything else, even if comparisons to artists like Wolves in the Throne Room can be made. Favorite track: Sentinel.

Lyrics
1. Ancestral
Ancestral, Transient, Formless, Infinite As The Void
Traced By Darkness, Lensing, Subtraction
A Prism Of Impossible Malignant Purpose

Free To Move Without Hindrance
Prying Its Tendrils In
Luring Life From It's Depth Of Persistence
Calculating, Indifferent, Magnificent

Perfect Alignment Pristine Orientation
The Void Between The Stars
Easing Across Parallels, Reigning all
Fueled By Decimation
Staring Endlessly
Prowling Openly, Leaving Trails Of Decay

Suffocating Atmospheres
Blinding Heat
Oceans Of Ash
Bowing To Certainty

Faltering Nebulae
Scheming Gravity
Imploding Planets
Lakes Of Fire

The Light That Will Never Come Back

2. Sentinel
An Invisible Web
Its Countless Threads

Untouched By Limitation
Clawing At The Gates Of The Sky

A Soft Balance
A Controlled Desperation
Twisting Iron Winds
Worlds Of Deafening Ghosts
Spilling It's Womb
In A Vibrating Silence

3. Surrender
The Promise
The Chance
A Whisper
A Glance

A Secret Of Hope

Balance unhinges
From The Cycle's Clutch
Folding Upon Itself
Expanding It's Depths

Taking To The Void Amongst New Skies
Flickering Out Amongst The Dust
Inwards Towards Salvation
Defiantly, Life Grasped To Hope

A Kiss, A Tear, A Final Embrace
